Bow To String Violin Club a division of Community Synergy, Inc.

Bow to Strings is an innovative music educational program, created by Samuel Boruszko (Mr. Sam) - a former conductor and founding member of the renowned Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, as well as a professional violin and viola player. Our program was inspired by Mr. Sam's many years of orchestral experience. He noticed students and even professional musicians improved faster while playing with other musicians. Playing and learning instruments in a group environment is not only fun, it effectively enhances skills like sight-reading, ear training, sense of musical timing and tempo etc.

Our program uses unique small group environment, students learn to play instruments with peers, besides getting personal attention from the teacher. The number of students in a group varies with age and instruments.

We provide every student opportunities to play in our orchestra, twice a year. Performing in an orchestra is different from doing the traditional recitals. In a recital, students usually perform alone or play a duet. In an orchestra, students have to collaborate with many other instrumentalists. It's a superior exercise to sharpen their musicianship, not to mention the ability of teamwork and social skills. Hence, our orchestra is part of our Bow to Strings program.
